Common Questions

Everything you need to know before you start

Still looking for something specific? Call us and we will help you sort it out.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Boise, Eagle, Star, Middleton, Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, and Kuna, plus surrounding Treasure Valley communities. If you are unsure whether we cover your neighborhood, call us at (208) 957-8115.

How do I get a free estimate?

Call (208) 957-8115 or submit the request form on our contact page. We schedule a free on-site visit, walk the property with you, and send a written proposal within 1-2 business days.

How far in advance should I book?

Spring and summer fill quickly. For larger hardscape or full-yard projects, reach out 4-8 weeks before your preferred start date. Smaller repairs can often be scheduled sooner.

Do you handle both front yard and backyard projects?

Yes. Many homeowners hire us for both so the design feels cohesive. We regularly complete full front-and-backyard installs that include plantings, stonework, and irrigation.

Who will be on my job?

David Vasquez leads field work for Idaho Landscape Creations. Stephanie runs the office for estimates, scheduling, and follow-up. You work with a family-owned team, not a rotating cast of subcontractors.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry the licensing and insurance required for landscaping and hardscape work in Idaho. Ask during your estimate if you want certificates sent to your insurer or HOA.

How long does a typical project take?

A paver patio or sod install often finishes in a few days to a week once we start. Full yard renovations with retaining walls, irrigation, and outdoor living features can run several weeks depending on scope and weather.

Do you work through Idaho winters?

We schedule outdoor installs around freeze-thaw and snow. Design, planning, and some prep can happen in the off-season. Softscape and concrete work usually wait for workable ground temperatures.

What services do you offer?

Hardscape (pavers, walkways, walls, driveways, decks, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, fencing), softscape (sod, flower beds, rock and mulch, planting design), water and irrigation (features, sprinkler install and repair), and landscape lighting.

Do you install and repair sprinkler systems?

Yes. We design and install new drip and rotor systems, and we repair broken heads, valves, wiring, and controllers on existing systems from major brands.

Will pavers hold up through freeze-thaw cycles?

Yes when they are installed correctly. We build a proper base, set bedding, and use jointing methods suited to Treasure Valley winters so patios and paths stay level and durable.

Do you provide landscape design?

Yes. Softscape design and full outdoor-living planning are part of what we do. We help you choose materials, plantings, and layout that fit your yard, water use, and budget.

How does pricing and payment work?

You receive a detailed written estimate before work begins. Larger projects are typically broken into progress payments tied to milestones. We do not use surprise change orders without talking through them first.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

We can discuss payment scheduling on larger projects. Call us and we will walk through what fits your timeline and scope.

Do I need permits for my project?

Some walls, structures, and drainage work may need local permits. We flag that during the estimate and can help you understand what your city typically requires.

Will you clean up the site every day?

Yes. Our crews leave the work area orderly each evening and do a final cleanup when the project wraps so your property is ready to enjoy.

What happens after the install is finished?

We walk the finished work with you, answer care questions (especially for new sod and plantings), and remain available if something needs a follow-up.

Do you maintain landscapes after installation?

Our focus is design and installation. We can recommend simple care routines and seasonal steps so your new landscape establishes well.

Can you match or expand an existing landscape?

Yes. We often add onto existing patios, walls, beds, and irrigation. Bring photos or notes about what you like, and we will design the addition so it blends with what you already have.
